Exploring the Longest Sea Beach

Beauty of the Longest sea beach - Cox's Bazar

Traveling opens doors to new experiences, fostering memories that last a lifetime. It allows us to escape the daily grind, reconnect with loved ones, and immerse ourselves in the beauty of the world, be it a historical landmark or a breathtaking natural landscape. From visiting family to exploring exotic destinations, traveling offers a chance to unwind and recharge.

My own journey to Cox’s Bazar, the world’s longest natural sea beach, remains etched in my memory. Located roughly 398 kilometers from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar beckons with its endless coastline. I went on this trip with my mom and brother, starting with a train ride from Dhaka to Chittagong. As night fell, the rhythmic sounds of the train replaced the hustle and bustle of the city.

After arriving in Chittagong, we embarked on a bus journey to Cox’s Bazar, reaching the Seagull Hotel after a scenic 9-hour ride. While Chittagong provides a convenient stopover, travelers now have the option to go directly from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar by bus for around 900 BDT only - quite a budget-friendly choice.

Blue sea - exploring the longest sea beach

During our trip to Cox’s Bazar, we checked out Inani Beach, Sugandha Beach, Laboni Beach, Himchori Falls, and the lively Radiant Fish World.

As night approached, we found ourselves relaxing on the shores of Inani Beach, basking in the breathtaking sight of the sun slowly descending into the vast ocean, making the sky look all colorful like a kaleidoscope. The peaceful ambiance enveloped us as we were captivated by the magnificent show of the nature, feeling a deep sense of tranquility and wonder at the beauty around us.

Walking leisurely along the shoreline of Laboni Beach without any footwear was incredibly soothing. The velvety sand provided a pleasing sensation under my feet while the tranquil waves softly approached the shore. The symphony of the crashing waves and the sensation of the warm sand beneath my toes created an ethereal experience that seemed almost surreal.

At Cox’s Bazar, there is more than just beautiful beaches - the food scene is a real treat. We got to try out all kinds of yummy local dishes like rice, lentil soups, dried fish, fresh sea fish, and the spicy “mashed dried fish” which everyone loves. This dish won me over with its flavors that are unique to this area. Even though you can find fast food spots around, the real winners are definitely the special local foods you can find here.

Cox’s Bazar was not just a beautiful destination—it was a place where I made great memories with my family. This trip offered a much-needed escape from the pressures of academic life, providing a sense of rejuvenation and reminding me of the importance of taking breaks from our busy schedules. Travel serves as a powerful tool for refreshing our minds and enriching our lives. If you have the opportunity, I urge you to embark on your own adventure and discover the wonders the world has to offer. Remember, life is meant to be lived, but also to be savored, one mindful journey at a time.
